Medical Billing Specialist

• Responsible for billing for patients, long term facilities, third party insurance, Medicare, Medicaid and Hospice
• Reconciliation and adjudicate all claims and accounts
• Responsible for posting payments
• Verify insurance coverage for patients
• Prepare patient refunds
• Update medication lists for Hospice patients
• Process updates for patient changes
• Review Medicare/Medicaid reports
• Review census reports from facilities
• Other duties as assigned
• Works well in a team environment
• Portrays the company in a positive image
• Required to abide by all rules, regulations and policies of the employer
